Key Information:

• Miss Elsbury will be teaching in class on a Monday and Tuesday. Mrs Jenkins will be teaching on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Children arrive and leave through the Year 5/6 corridor door. These will open at 8:40 and close at 8:50. There will be a TP on the door if you need to pass a message to us in the morning. Alternatively, you can write and sign a note. We will be available to talk to on the playground at the end of every day if needed.
• Pencil cases are not needed at school. We will provide your child with all the stationery they will need. Please ensure they have a bag in school.
• PE will be on a Tuesday and Friday this term – please ensure your child wears PE kit and appropriate footwear on this day.
• In Year 5, we are always trying to encourage the children’s independence as we prepare them for the transition to Year 6. As part of this, some children do walk to and from school alone. If your child is going to be walking alone we are happy for them to bring a mobile phone to school so that they can contact you if needed. Mobile phones must be turned off at the school gate and will be collected in and looked after by us during the school day.
