Welcome to Year Six

Welcome to a brand-new year for us here in Year 6 at Gillingstool. Although Year 6 may seem a daunting year for both children and parents, I truly believe it is the most rewarding and enjoyable year of Primary School. Every year we see a rise in the maturity of children and many come out of their shell and truly release their full potential!
After three years in Year 6, it is no secret that I maintain high expectations for my class. My classes are expected to maintain and represent our school values in everything they do, acting as role models to the rest of the school as well as pushing themselves in their own learning, so their full potential can be released.
Towards the end of the year, we have many events to look forward to such as: SATS, leavers' play and leavers' assembly. At the end of this term, the class will depart for our annual residential week and I am looking forward to really getting to know them as individuals during that week.
Please see below some important information about day-to-day life in Year 6.
Many thanks,
Mr. Olver
